Title: Filter
Post by: scalebowler on February 24, 2010, 07:56:26 pm
Is it possible to put a furnace filter in the bottom of my machine? Nothing too intense just something to help reduce the dust. It looks like the grate at the bottom of my machine would hold one and I would like to know if anyone has tried that before. I have a Vendorlator VF-165.

sure, it would not hurt the machine at all.

So it would not be a good idea to do it?

ok I got it just a typo. I am  seriously going to concider putting one in my machine. After seeing what it can look like down there after while I never want any dust in there again. I seriously had to go through about an 1/8th inch of dirt to see the bottom of the machine.

If the filter gets wet, it could be worse than not having it there.
I'd leave it alone and just make a point to clean it often.
You have to understand that a lot of these machines continued operating long after the service company quite scheduled maintenance, so they are almost always quite dirty.
