Title: quarter trick? Post by: scalebowler on February 23, 2010, 06:52:29 pm Anyone know if that trick with the quarter tied to a string would work in my machine? My roommate wanted to try it and asked if it would work. Told him I was not sure. It is a coinco 9800B. Just curious.

Once the quarter passes through the rejector it trips the switch. Right above the quarter exit on the rejector is a spring steel piece - that is the string cutter. To work, it should be more of a thread than a string.

Glad to know it won't work and now I don't have to worry about him trying it and possibly breaking something. I all ready take the key home when I go home for the weekends because the first week I had it he reset the price on the origional mech and all my problems started after that.
