Title: buying a vendo 39 or v63? Post by: jenkine on February 12, 2010, 10:35:46 am I am looking to replace my westinghouse multidrink machine which no longer works. I have seen two nice machines for about $600 each - both working and original condition. One is a vendo 39 all red and one is vendo v63 (red, no woodgrain). What is the better buy? Should I continue my search for a cheaper machine? Is the 39 not very practical because of the bottle limitation? Thanks.

Post by: johnieG on February 12, 2010, 11:38:50 am If you intended to actually use it, go with the V-63, because like you old machine, it will vend multiple flavors, making it the practical choice, V-39's only serve only 1 flavor, I wont pay $600 for a V-63 personally unless it was in #10 primo condition buy it to enjoy it :drinking:

Post by: SIGNGUY on February 12, 2010, 11:48:03 am For collectablitiy purposes the Vendo 39 for sure is not a bad buy for 600
the V63 is way overpriced, but more practical. Offer 300 if it's nice. Title: Re: buying a vendo 39 or v63? Post by: jenkine on February 12, 2010, 01:03:01 pm I don't buy many machines - in fact I have only bought one so it is hard to know exactly what they are worth....
I have not seen many or any v63s that run and look halfway decent for under $500 in the Nashville market. I guess I just keep loooking and show up with cash money and an offer when one looks good. I agree that the Vendo v39 if it is good shape looks like a decent buy for $600. Thanks. Title: Re: buying a vendo 39 or v63? Post by: mznb1u on February 12, 2010, 01:03:17 pm I can't add much to what has been said. The 63 is more versatile for an everyday use machine but as has been pointed out--$600 is too high. The V-39 would be a good investment if it is complete and running--probably worth more than that if you parted it out; but, I don't advocate chopping up good complete machines.

Get yourself a load of old bottles and just fill them from the large bottles you can buy in the supermarkets.. That's what I do... You are then drinking out of a bottle that's 50 yrs old too... Dave |
