I assume Water release should only be on "have a Coke" on each side "bottle opener here", "change here" and "do not deposit coins if bottles are not visible". Vinyl would be "10 cent" "ice cold" or any other decorative decal. I guess I am asking about a Vendo 81B. So Is that correct? Historically speaking? Thanks!

Any particular reason?Title: Re: decals Post by: BrianB on February 25, 2010, 11:26:02 am They were originally screen painted at the factory.
Vinyl is much more durable than standar water release decals. Title: Re: decals Post by: davethebirdman on February 25, 2010, 11:28:41 am And they are easier (in my humble opinion) to apply. I have used water release on some of the machines and have suffered from peeling where something has rubbed against them.. Just my personal preference... Title: Re: decals Post by: SIGNGUY on February 25, 2010, 02:39:59 pm I prefer vinyl as well,
once it doesn't have that ugly "film" around the edges which is visible. they often yellow with age and vinyl is just a newer improved way of doing it.. if it where available in 1950 they propbably would have used that too. just like how powder coating is a better process than zinc plating... they probably would have done alot of things different if the technology was there.
