Title: Jones plug- Free vending
Post by: cokecolaman on February 04, 2010, 02:13:55 am
I have used a switch for free vending or put a tie-strap on the solenoid...what I don't understand is how a Jones plug can be cut from a coin mech and used as a free vend switch. Someone on Ebay is selling these...wouldn't it be hard on the solenoid to do this? If not, what wires do you put together?

Without a momentary switch in the circuit, this may keep the latch solenoid energized continuously which would not be a good thing...

Here's a pinned topic on the subject:

$35 ?!!  for that hacked piece of carp? <(dyslexia involved here)  :tounge:  Yes it would fry your vending solenoid on an early machine ( he did mention that it wouldn't work on antique machines in his description, which is nice to know) so it would really only be of use on machines with a separate vending relay setup like a late model / multi button machine

I have a couple of metal rejectors, that will fit Coinco's that all you have to do for free vend
it press the coin return lever.  There are several years old.  I would sell them cheap.

I would be interested in one of these if they will work with a Vendo 65.  Please PM me or email to jmbiii@yahoo.com
