Canada Dry Machine (http://cgi.ebay.com/1960s-CANADA-DRY-Soda-Machine_W0QQitemZ330398922221QQ) Update: Just noticed it's from the Universal Vender Company of Elgin, Ill --> Too bad it doesn't have a model number... Title: Re: Identify an Unknown Machine... Post by: mznb1u on January 28, 2010, 07:45:23 am WOW! Looks heavy. Interesting vending stack and mechanism.

Post by: johnieG on January 28, 2010, 09:34:28 am Just an observation, but the styling of the chassis & trim pieces look like they were cloned from an S/V 96, same cast bottle delivery chute, coinmech, & if it had the S/V cast aluminum coindoor, you'd swear it was an S/V 96.
Title: Re: Identify an Unknown Machine... Post by: GreginNM on January 28, 2010, 09:51:07 am Good observation, JohnieG! The door latch looks the same as the SV-96 as well, but the bottle chute placement is way off.
Interesting machine! Title: Re: Identify an Unknown Machine... Post by: tkaz on January 28, 2010, 10:51:15 am Not sure on the model, not a whole lot of info out there on Universal Vendors. One interesting thing that came up in a search was the patent that was filed, and it looks to be the same machine, at least on the interior.
