Title: Finishing Restoring VMC 7up 33 Post by: mygoose101 on January 21, 2010, 09:20:53 pm I buddy of mine who restored soda machines has retired from the hobby several years ago. He stated but never finished restoring a VMC 7UP 33. It has been sitting in his garage for about 10 years now. It's painted, all new parts, compressor done, and mech done. Basically it just needs to be assembled. I've seen it several times and the machine is perfect. I have offered to finish the machine and help him sell it. Just wanted to see if anyone here might have an interest in it? Is this still a sought after machine or it being single vend has it cooled off? I don't have a price yet as I need to work out details with him first before I take possesion of machine.

Title: Re: Finishing Restoring VMC 7up 33 Post by: sodaman on January 23, 2010, 10:06:45 am They are a somewhat difficult machine to find, I have only owned 2 of them in my 35 years of restoring soda machines. Sometimes they are easy to miss when you are in a hurry walking thru a large show and most people look at the top of VMC 33's instead of the bottom for the reversed embossing.

Title: Re: Finishing Restoring VMC 7up 33 Post by: mygoose101 on February 05, 2010, 07:40:21 pm Not yet, it's still a go but he has not been around for me to pick it up. I'm shooting for next Saturday, the 13th. Keep in mind he has had it where it sits for over 10 years so a week or two more is not killing him as much as I do want to pick it up. Will post pics as soon as I get it.
