Title: Pepsi Clock Post by: pepsi-perk on January 17, 2010, 09:01:24 pm I have had this Pepsi Clock for years. It is in working condition, but the white paint is terrible on this thing. Cracked and very faded / yellowed.
As you can see I have been slowly and meticulously removing the paint off the reverse side of the plastic marquee around all the lettering. Luckily in the clock face area - all the numbers and tick marks are printed on the face, so if I can find a way to quickly remove the white paint I should be done with the stripping of it fairly soon. I post this since it is a similar situation some may have run into during the restoration of their soda machine marquees. Does anyone have any good tips in repainting this and / or suggestions on what brand of translucent paint would work well for this kind of project. Any help is appreciated! I plan on giving it a shot whenever I get around to restoring my juke... I also need to do it to my Robotron machine as its starting to flake..

He sent it out and had the plastic face redone. It looks brandnew. I'll ask him about it when I deliver his counter top 27 that I am restoring.
