Title: Good Start to 2010!! Stoner Jr with Gum Wheel Post by: SIGNGUY on January 11, 2010, 10:28:41 am I've been working on this deal for a while... finally came together this weekend..
I found this machine on a Gas/Oil Website a few months back ,to find out the guy sold it to someone in MN.. we'll then a few weeks ago I get a call from a Gas /Oil collector I know from MN, asking me if I know anything about Stoners... he knew he had something special too, so we worked a deal and he delivered it this weekend while picking up the items I traded him.. no cash out of my pocket was nice! Its a real nice original, super clean, just dusty,, probably going to keep it original, maybe a new mirror.. .but it's just that nice... Sure hope the rest of of 2010 is going to be like this!.. :biggrin: Title: Re: Good Start to 2010!! Very nice find. How does the mint reel work? Spin it to a selection or is there only one choice? The left knob operates the vend? Never had the pleasure of seeing a mint vendor on any stoner. to answer the question what did I have to trade for it... The guy I bought it from was a gas pump collector, so was expecting him to ask for my wayne 60 or something, but he wanted 3 common pumps, so I traded a tokheim 300, Bennett 966 and MS 80 cyclops... I figured all of those models I can find again with just a few phone calls, but this baby.. Probably won't see to many of these, especially in this condition!... Title: Re: Good Start to 2010!! Great score on the Stoner Jr. :happydrinkers: Your machine could be the twin of mine. Mine was repainted by the previous owner but they did a decent job of matching the original color. I am soooooo jealous!!!! My dream machine also. Like another poster stated, I also have settled for a 180 with mint wheel for now. Stoner Jr with Gum Wheel Post by: ducatihummer on January 13, 2010, 11:23:24 am I originaly settled for the 180 with Mint wheel, then I was lucky enough to run accross my JR with Gum wheel last year. the one I picked up was re-painted over the original, so I decided to have it restored. I let my daughter pick the color. I should have known she'd pick pink :biggrin: here is a pick before it was painted, and one as it stands now, sorry it's the only pic I have for now. I still have to touch up some paint, and restore the vending mech, but all and all I'm happy with how it's coming out. The one next to it is my Theater with gum wheel. Another great find of 2009. I'm going to start putting that one back together as soon as it gets a little warmer out. I'll update my tread on the Theater once I have more pics. Hopefully 2010 is just as nice :hopefull:

I was lucky enough that Vendo 39 could help me out, since I didn't have a way of bidding on it at the time. It was a little more then I wanted to pay, but they really don't ever come up. I think the one John got was only the 3rd or 4th one I've ever seen.
