Title: IMP Gum Ball Vendor Post by: COREY on January 02, 2010, 01:32:00 pm Does anyone know about or have any information on the machine(s) listed below. They look interesting and different. Don't know if they are one machine or two different ones. I think one vends one gumball and the other vends cigarettes. They are asking $325 for it/them. I just don't know. Thanks for the help!

Its a trade stimulator... Made to get around the tight gambling laws of the 1930's... They all vend a gumball as part of the ruse to show that they are not gambling devices... Your second pictures shows the shiled that can be fliped over to hide the reeels should the "old bill" turn up unannounced. The Imp is a very common machine and they had cigarette packet reels... They come up all the time on ebay I would aay that $325.00 is a bit on the steep side... Unlike slots they do not have a payout mech (not even for cigarettes) what you would have had to do was notify the bartender... Dave |
