Title: Need some info on a gas pump
Post by: CoinOpCrazy on December 15, 2009, 07:14:57 pm
I just bought an A.O. Smith 483 Gas Pump and I am in need of some info on it. Such as restored value and years they were made/used. Any info would be great though. I can post pictures some time tomorrow if needed.

Welcome to the board. Plenty of folks here that know pumps but you may also want to post over at oldgas.com.

Thanks. Yeah I have a Vendo HA56B square top and a Westinghouse 42T. Oh and I also have a choice vend machine but I have no idea what model it is. I know the logo is 60s pepsi with the wave. I want to restore it next spring if I can. It is cold outside and that is where that heavy thing is staying.

Post some photos, but like the other post said, check in with the guys on oldgas or Cheeses pit stop.. they'll get you squared away for sure.
value on restored pump depends on the quality of the restoration as well,so keep that in mind.
Good luck!

Hi and welcome,
Check out the 'Soda Machines' link on the Home Page and then click on Choice Vend. Jim has a pretty extensive library of machines listed there. If it is not listed, I'm sure he would be interested in obtaining information from you about it.

It is cold outside and that is where that heavy thing is staying.

I don't blame you! You also might get trapped under it if you slip while moving it.
