Not sure if anything is missing but that would be a neat party cooler!

As mentioned previously--Deep Freeze H-5.  No idea what it is worth but they are somewhat rare.

Pepsi Deep Freeze. I have 1 and it's original colour is grey
I'll have to look again at mine and see if it has the basket. I don't think it does and didn't know there was one. Hmmmmmmmmm  Mine looks like crap as it's original but it still cools. Thought I would've been lifted 3ft. off the ground when I plugged it in but nope. Works great

As most of those were gray, it was probably repainted at some point.

What an A$$!!   :censored:  He might have been able to sell it for 200, but he'll own it forever for 900!  There was a guy near here that had one on ebay for months and got as low as 300 and still couldn't sell it.  Kept running the auction over and over.  Unless complete, parts are near impossible to find I would think.

I would think if you make an offer to sell, you should have the integrity to stick with your offer!  Maybe his brain will re-attach to the rest of his body sometime down the road and he'll decide to sell it again.

The guy told me he had someone picking it up today for $800 and if I wanted it it was going to cost me $900 . I thanked the guy for his offer and told him I was glad he did so well on selling it but if it doesn't work out to give me a call and I will give him $200  .

That sucks! I find what happens is when someone is selling something and tells someone what they are selling it for, the other guy all of a sudden is an expert on values and says he could've got $65,000 for it.

I usually hear, "I've seen the <insert $200 machine model here>  on Ebay for <insert  glue sniffing price here> , you're trying to cheat me.  I smile,  thank them for their time, and suggest they hook up with other crazy seller and take turns visiting each others machine, and  remind them to look at completed auctions for closing prices.
Augh, you have to dig through a lot of bull droppings  to get to an Angus Steer sometimes..

But why email me and tell me he will take $200 for it and then you say ok and ask him where and when can I pick it up . And he comes back with $900 ! Weird !

My guess is he really did get another offer, or you mentioned you collect machines, and he  figured if you are interested you are lowballing him and he has a rare item.

Neither is right, nor am i condoning jacking the price after he agreed.  I think you did the right thing, thanking him and wishing him luck , and when he calls back,  offer hm 150, the market really tanked since last you talked to him

sometimes I wonder if these guys think these things are made of  gold.  I had a guy do this with a Seeburg juke box I was to purchase.

I had made a deal on a Wurly 1015 a year or so ago for 2000, complete machine, needed restoration obviously. it was 2 hours away. I was on the road, and hour into my trip and the phone rings, asks if I was still coming over.. I told him, yes, as we had set up a time to meet and he said Oh. don't bother , he had another guy come offer more and he took it...
I was furious.. but of course what can I do.. i had no problem screaming a few nasty words into the phone on that one... as the deal was gone already...

A co-worker's father-in-law had a Westinghouse Master water bath in his garage.  It was sitting there for years (he was not the original owner) ad in decent shape.  I thought I could pick it up for $50 and fool with it.  This was around 2003-2004.  I called him and he said, "I've seen them sell for $2500 on ebay!"  When I said he was mistaken, he countered with, "I saw one there yesterday for that price."  Naturally, I said he didn't since I was on ebay the day before.  Needless to say it sat there another few years until he was forced into foreclosure due to some very bad business decisions.  However, the cooler is now sitting (covered up) on my deck, fully functional, being used during the summer months.  Oh yeah, the cool part...  I got it for FREE and my coworked delivered it to me!

Well I hope the Butt F****R gets his in the end ,   :Oo: and they pretty much do.
Years back when I was just a pup in this hobby I  had a client that had a Pepsi
Lacrosse 56 and a Cav Chest Cooler ( Don't remember the model )  I really want the Pepsi
it was missing the coin mech, a few  shelves and the main cord was cut, he wanted $300 for it and
all I was willing to give was $150 (I know I know  :upside: I was just a pup in this hobby and thought this was the MACHINE)  He thought I was trying to take him  and I never bought it.  Skip to 2008 he is still my client one day when he was in my office I asked him if he got what he wanted for that Pepsi machine and he told me no he ended up selling it for  $85  and all I could say was well you could have made more if I had bought it  .
So It does come back and bit them in the  A$$

Went and looked at mine today and it is complete minus the plastic Pepsi cap for the front but I found 1 from a lacrosse or choice vend that might work in the barn.
