Title: Airline Cooler Prices
Post by: ss540 on November 23, 2009, 07:38:24 pm
Anyone notice what Coca Cola Airline Coolers have sold for lately on ebay?  Seems like there are a couple of new listings each week.   One is at almost $380, with one hour left.  Several have sold in the high $200's plus shipping.  Are these fair prices or can they be purchased cheaper elsewhere?

These have been the hottest little coolers lately.. I too have been in the market for one, figureing if  Ifound one for 100-150 I'd buy it... ha.. can't touch them for that lately.. chicago show last year, cheapest was 250 for a decent one, Ebay prices have been 250-280 + ... saw some really nice originals this year at Chicago priced at 500!!! but I'm sure it sold for at least 425..
I'd say, with latest trend on these,, 250 is a good price on when if you found it. and in good displayable condition.

If anyone has one.. I am looking for a nice orignal, doesnt have to be mint..

A very hot item lately you are right you can't seem to touch one for less than $250.00 in ebay. I have also
been in the market for one myself saw only one at Hershey they were asking $250.00 made an offer but they wouldn't take less. I figured if I could get one for around $150 I would but they are getting more than that for them.

I bought a couple of these coolers three years ago. Paid less than $175.00 each for them. Didn't know they were going up in price. One is to be restored when I get around to it and the other is to be left in it's very nice original condition.

I got mine off of eBay in 2005 for $75.  I replaced the hardware on it.  There's no rust and it looks really nice in the almost-original condition.  Glad to hear it's going up in price.

That looked like a nice one and I had it on my watch list, but since I have two already that I have way too much $ in, I had to pry my fingers away from the "Place Bid" button.  I would say you did well.

I just saw a restored airline cooler on ebay now with a BIN of $350.  I'd say that's a fair price since the resto has already been done.  Also one with a BIN of $525, but the hardware was painted red along with the sheet metal.
