Title: Vendo 80's
Post by: Crazzy Canuck on November 08, 2009, 09:01:42 am
Hey guys/gals. Been out of the buying/selling loop for about 8 years now but just wondering how the v-80's are doing for value? About 8 or 9 yrs ago they were starting to gain popularity. I have a line on a couple of them nice and straight originals. One for $600 and the other for $800. The $800 I think is a little high. Both are complete and working. Thinking of perhaps buying them and stashing them to bring down to Chicago in the spring.

Not sure what they are going for as original and price for restored?

Now my son-in-law is jumping on board with me on the restorations now so I can double my buying plus doubles my set of eyes for scouring for machines. LOL

Thanks. Mark

I don't think they have gained much popluarity ,,,Not a bad looking machine in my opionion, but most of the General Public, still wants multi selection so they can use it in there game room/bar or rec room... put different flavors and beer in them.. that is what I've seen, and heard from my customers..

as far as price.. 600 would be the top side I'd think, if nice and if the stainless steel variety.

Thanks Bro. Appreciate it. Neither have the stainless(which I always had a soft spot for). Like I said being out of the loop and I know some machines have not really gained much value :Oo: They're heavier than a dead priest too . LOL

Duh!.... Yeah 88! sorry... a Pepsi embossed 80 would be something... only someone like Cowboy would have one of those... Guess I better go to Chicago for some more schooling....

I have a soft spot for the 80s and 88s, even though they aren't very versatile.   I'm more partial to the solid red versions myself.

Eric, I wish I had been the buyer of your clean original Pepsi 88!

I loved the 80's.

And I love the Vendo 80 as well. Great looking machine. But it seems as though if I like it, it doesn't hold much value with everyone else. It's a good thing I am not a speculator.

Worth more in parts  I think, even $600 seems high.  If you are going through the trouble and cost to restore  a machine why start with a machine that has little or no following?
