Title: Lid for S&S 700..

This is my first cooler. Found a decent 700 that a lady was using for firewood storage. She didn't have a lid..Can anyone help ?...thanks..Jerry...870-847-5771 anytime

         If you found a pair of lids they would be rusty and dented. These lids are easy to have re-made............go get the cooler!

I bought the cooler. It's stripped and primered in my shop. Who..or where.. can do a lid for me ?..Jerry

Looks like I will have to make one. What about the correct weatherstrip ?..Is that available ?

I'll get a couple soon..Anyone know where I can get the rubber that goes around the edge of the lid..( which it looks like I'll have to make ! )..??

Rod at Funtronics sells a gasic that is made for Quikold (S&S became Quikold) So it may be the same gasket... check his website... does your cooler have any of the gasket remaining on it... did it rap around a metal locking strip?... My Orange Crush is a leter S&S... and it uses the same gasket so you may be in luck...
Also a guy in Springfield, MO by the name of Ben Smith could have lids made for you... he restores Westinghouse cooler and makes lids and cap catchers and tub liners.... Joey may have his number.

AH darn!
 I just sent a sad looking S&S 700 off to the scrap metal heaven a few months back Sorry.

  But you can get the lids made it's just like having a lid reskinned for a 55 slider , it can be done
and some of these heat & cooling shops that have there own metal shops can do it for you
just call around.
