The two tone paint on my uss-8-64 has a few problems, One of those being the white paint has yellowed in places. If there anyway to get it back to white without repainting?

Thanks in advance.

Sometiimes rubbing compound or fine sanding (1000 grit or higher) can help as it is only the top of the paint that has yellowed.

Well, I used a high speed buffbuffing pad in an electric drill and compound on My USS, and it cleaned up pretty well. Mine is a newer model all red, but it brightened up and really made the paint shine. Followed it up with some good wax and it really looks good. The next time I will probably leave the pad in the my buffer and do it the same way I would do a car.

A buffer and rubbing compound will work fine if the paint is not already too thin.   The letters may be softer material, so it is advised that area be done by hand.
