I an considering acquiring a Vendo 39 without the coin mech. Is a coin mech hard to come by. I know there is a place that will restore one if you have one. also can you fix a Vendo 39 to free vend without the coin mech?

Yes you need a coin mech. to set on freeplay but you don't
need a slug rejector. Are you sure you aren't simply missing the
rejector?
Used mech.s are available, drums are not!

Hey thanks for the response and thanks for the offer of the spare coin mech for the 39.  I had to go out of town for awhile and just got back but I didn't get the 39 . It was in my area but the guy wouldn't come down enough to make it worthwhile. I am hooked I found myself almost driving off the road trying to look inside open barn doors and along side of old stores looking for an old coke machine as I drove some country roads.

I get yelled at by my wife all the time for that - even the slightest deviation from the path.

Yea I would have been yelled at by my wife had she had been with me. I straightened up and flew right when some one flew by me laying on their horn. I looked down and I was doing about 25 in a 45 mph. I started doing the speed limit but did stop at a couple small town flea markets but no luck.
