I think this one is a seller. I am keeping my Ideal 35 and Kates Cavalier bow front chest. I like the Jacobs 56 alot but it is worth so much and I paid so little for it I think it will have to be sold. I don't know if I am going to restore it or just sell it as is. It is complete and he thinks it works. The only problem is some rust on the front door about Three nickle size holes. Other than that is is solid as it can be. I am beside myself waiting to get this machine.

Yes Butchershopjoe bought it a few weeks ago. I wanted to cry when I delivered it. It was a great looking machine. Oh well. It has a good home now.

Welp, off to my very first Chicago show tomorrow! I'm pretty psyched  '<img'>  Me and MCarter and a friend of ours are headed up there to catch the Kane County Show on Thursday morning, then off to visit Home Arcade Corp. and then to the "big show" on Friday where I'll pick up my Seeburg 146 Jukebox.

I'll take a bunch of pictures and post them when I get back.

I'm heading out Thursday night for the show.... Still can't believe they want $50 to walk the parking lot.... I'm going to wander out to see if that's true (or if I can sneek around)
Then I'm meeting up with Doc! Saturday at noon in the lobby to pick up some awesome
12 oz. Coke bottles then run through the show with my wife before we head back home....
Be cool if all that were going could meet...

Brian. I'm not sure where Home Arcade is located, but this swap meet is quite a distance outside Chicago. Seemed like 2 hrs from the airport.
Eric, they don't charge to visit the parking lot. It is $50.00 to get in the building where they are setting up restored machines, jukes etc.  High dollar items in there.   The parking lot is great for junkin' and is similar to the Kane fairgrounds.

Oh by the way, St. Charles is a beautiful little town with lots of water and trees. It is also "dry".  You can't even buy a beer within the city limits...............so   BYOB.  (good use for those old icechests)
Have fun and please bring us back some pictures

Man now I'm confused... cause Like Glen said you use to be able to wander the parking lot. (Which I thought was on Thursday)..... I called and they said there is nothing on Thursday and that Friday the parking lot and sneek preview was 50 bucks! Which sounded differnet to me. Man if that is true they are gonna loose a lot of outside vendors and sales.... But now I'm
not going till tomorrow night and be up bright and early for Friday to check stuff out just in case.
I will report back and with photos!

I heard that Chicagoland has been getting less attendance because of E-bay but if this $50.00 charge has been imposed, it could be a BIG reason.
For me, flying to O'hare, renting a car, driving to St Charles and renting a room........Yeah I'll pay the $50.00. CNice complete machines sell the first day. Saturday admission is reasonable but the good stuff has been picked over and what is left was overpriced.
I'm glad we are sending a crew out there this year to report back to us. I was impressed when I was there in the late 90's.  Lots of parking lot vendors.

Lots of parking lot vendors.

They are really cutting down on this the past few years. Not too much stuff out there anymore.
