Boy I'm jealous.  Cheerwine is the wife's favorite and it cost me a bundle to keep our machines  stocked with it.  I have to drive to Cincinnanti and by for about $1.20 a bottle or order from beveragesdirect at about 40 bucks a case.

By the way, welcome to the forum. We're glad that you are here.

Guess I will jump on the wagon here too and kick up this old thread.

I am pretty fortunate that I live only a couple hours from the Dr Pepper Bottling Company in West Jefferson NC.  They bottle about 25 - 50 flavors (depending on demand) in glass bottles.  My in laws run a summer time produce market with one of my machines in it.  So in the summer, we make a trip about once a month and get a pick-up load.

In my machines I usually keep:
Nehi - Grape and Orange 10 oz Glass
Crush Grape, Strawberry & Orange 10 oz glass
Dr Pepper  Diet Dr. P 10 oz glass
Diet and regular Mt Dew  10 oz glass
Coke and Diet Coke 8 oz glass
RC Cola 10 oz glass
Welch’s grape
Assorted non name brands

The Cokes and Crush you can get at Sam's Club for about 9.00 - 11.00 dollars per case of 24

The others from the bottler cost me 14.50 a case

Also just started keeping some Cheerwine, they are headquartered about 15 minutes from me and have really put a lot of glass bottles out lately.  I noticed in the bookstore on campus where I teach that several glass bottles from West Jefferson have made an appearance and seem to be staging a comeback.

I would really love some pepsi in glass bottles.  I can find the little short fat ones but not the long necks.  Anyone know of anywhere to get some?

Mexican Pepsi is available in  the 355ml (12 oz) bottles. You may try your local Mexican restuarants. Jungle Jims in fairfield Oh has them for $1.29 a bottle. A little pricey, but the pure cane sugar will make you realize it is worth it.

Bought a case of Cheerwine today at Wegman's.  $13.96 a case plus .56 tax.  Not bad, and I like the stuff.

I've seen people discussing Cherrywine, but what does it taste like?  Cherry juice?

The UPS guy delivered some soda for me from PA on Friday.  Some Birch Beer from Kuntztown Bottling Works.  Pretty good.

I think that the next thing I'm going to try is some Root Beer from Point Brewery (Stevens Point, WI).  It is sweetened with sugar and honey.  Sounds interesting.  Any of you "Northerners" try this before?

How much was the shipping on the birch beer?

Cheerwine doesn't taste like cherry juice.  I think it is closer to, but not the same as a Dr. Pepper.  We had lunch/dinner yesterday at Old Dominion brewery in Ashburn, VA. Their root beer is made from sugar and sweetened with honey.

Shipping was about $15.50 (should be cheaper to you, plus use a business address).  Total bill for 24 bottles was $31.  I looked at it this way - I spent $28 for a case of Dew, what's $3 more? '<img'>

My wife says I need to go back and get a case of Diet Cheerwine.  I probably won't buy anything online and pay for shipping as long as I can load my machine with sodas that I buy at the store.  I am having the hardest time finding Sprite in glass though.  I am waiting to hear back from a couple of supermarkets that carry the 8oz Cokes.
