Title: Coinco cr-75 adjustment
Post by: on February 03, 2003, 02:59:25 am
Can you tell me how to adjust mr coinco cr-75 coin acceptor?
It is set on 50 cents and I want it set for 25 cents. Also, Iput in 2 dimes and a quarter and it vends. Put in 7 dimes...nothing 7 dimes and a quarter, boom it vends. 1 quarter and 7 dimes ...nothing. Put the dimes in first then a quarter...it works. 2 quarters always works and it won't take nickels.
Lastly...what is the switch at the bottom right of the acceptor for?

Thanks

Mark

Answering your first question first, to change the setting from .50 to.25-----refer to the previous post in this section.
Next, there are three micro-switches in your unit, one each for quarters, dimes and nickles. Your dime and nickle switches are mal-functioning, forget them, you're using quarters now.
Last, the switch on the lower right is to eject nickles stored in the change hopper and you won't need change now either!
     Happy vending

:) Thanks MoonDawg. This mech is a bit different. When I pulled the slug rejector out there is no adjustment switch behind it. I removed the entire unit, removed the chrome back panel, removed a black cardboard sleeve and removed a printed circuit board. On that board it has two switches. Each switch has two slide switches. 1 black and 1 white. I played with the adjustment of these and BANG! I got the adjustment I wan't. It is now set at .25 cents. Quarters, dimes and nickels.
It even makes the 5 cent change if 3 dimes are deposited.

Thanks :D

If my memory serves me, the switches aer as follows:

1st white - .05
1st black - .10
2nd white - .20
2nd black - .40

The "Up" position is On, so any combination will yield a variety of prices with a max of .75

Some newer mechs may have the pricing slightly higher...
