Title: Coin mech issues
Post by: JP White on April 16, 2006, 08:23:19 pm
Good evening group and Happy Easter to everyone!

My Vendo 81 D (large door) coin mech has a shaft coming off the back that's 3 and 3/4" long.  The 81 door is only 3' thick - so the service cover will not fit in place.  I tried installing the cover and it bows-out the door liner and grinds the vending action to a stop.
Any ideas what this mech was made for?  It's a National Rejectors brand but the model number is blank.  The serial # appears to be 25109.

Thanks, JP

JP,
I am 99% sure that you have a Vendo 44 or VMC 44 mech on your hands. All I have is an 81A small door, but I pretty sure the D shaft length is the same - I think 3". Someone here can verify the 81D shaft length I am sure. Try to trade it for what you need or cut it off and drill a 1/8" pin hole on the horizontal. Hey look, you already have a line to cut by! :upside:

Tom,
I think I'll cut it and redrill the pin hole.  I have a lot of time in cleaning and lubing this one.
Thanks,
JP
