So in everyone's opinion is the Seeburg A more valuable box than my RockOla 1454? After shipping/pickup its going to be about the same cost as the 1454. is it still worth $500? Does anyone have a Juke value guide? Mine is on its way to my Moms. Can someone tell me what the book value is of a Seeburg A?

I am trying Uship for the first time and I have had a bid for $150. Thats a really good deal. Its  actually 3 hours each way for me to get it so I can save 6 hours and gas for the trip. I think thats worth It but is the machine worth $450. Can anyone help with a price guide? If this is a dud I will pass but if its a good deal I will get it.  I need advice if anyone has a price guide please?

Josh,
My guidebook was published 2008, so take  that into consideration since the market has also tanked, however I see signs  it is  coming around again, slower than I want though.  It also doesn't say if the  prices listed are for an  original 78 , or one converted to 45.

Grade 1 - $3000
Grade 2 - $2500
Grade 3 - $750
Grade 4 - $200

In my opinion, yes $450 is a good price. The machine looks solid, parts are readily available. It has a visible mech, and animations (OK, not as cool as a C) so even when it's not playing it is an art piece, unlike the  square boxes of the  70's.

for a flip,  and being able to store it free, I'd pull the trigger.

Kilroy,

You mentioned a guidebook for jukes. Is this vendor specific (ie. Seeburg only) or a general guide with wurllitzer, etc too ? I'm curious to know what my Wurlitzer 2600 is worth (for my own reference, I'm not parting with it).

Chris, I have a copy of the Always Jukin Price Guide, which lists  the big players ( Wurly, Seeburg, Rockola)  as well as some lesser known companies., Chicago coin, Williams,, etc.
I was at a graduation party  this afternoon, and lent my copy to my buddy, but I'll get it back, or call him for the info for you.

I just spoke to the seller and now I have another question. He said the wood on the front has some serious termite damage. All of the rest of the cabinet is fine just the front wood has damage. How hard is it to fix? I think this may be a sign to run away. WHat do you think?

Having built a cabinet for my Seeburg G due to termite damage, I speak from the heart when I say never again.
First of all, I'd be concerned the nest is still active. And just how 'serious' is 'serious termite damage'? The floor rotted? The entire front intact from handholding termites? The plus side is the A is more boxy, so you would have an easier time than I did.
Dunno Josh, if he will knock some  $$ off the price, and give you pics of the damage, and if you have a way to verify there aren't anymore termites feasting on it  I'd think on it.  If not, pass, nay, run away.

you seem hesitant to buy it, and after hearing about the termite damage. run forest run. DONT BUY IT! the rockola is a much nicer machine and when done will be worth way more than any seeburg a
