I've been trying to get my Cavalier machine up & running. I think I may have a "Time Delay" board issue.

I have seen mention about a article that Johnie G wrote on time delay, but I couldn't find it by searching the forums.

If anyone has these could you send them to me or re-post them.

Here is a pix of my relay & time delay board. You can see the relay on the right, the time delay board (4 marked terminals) and a large capacitor located below.

Trying to solve this mystery on my own.... Steve

ps... is this in the right forum???

So is the problem that it wont hold the credit long enough to make a selection?

I'm trying to test the vend system by using your kool free vend switch. But when I hooked it up, pushed the switch, the light above the coin chute lite up, then I tried selection button 5, one can delivered, there were big sparks (120v short?) in the neighborhood of the vending servo &  Well I won't be trying that button again.

When I tried the free vend switch again, I could hear the relay click, and the light above the coin chute would only stay on while holding the FV button down. Nothing happens when I tried any of the other selection buttons.... even holding the FV switch down, nothing.

So I have some not so obvious short, so I thought I'd start with the Time Delay, then work my way towards the vending servos.

I don't know how to check the time delay diode or capacitor.

Thanx for stepping up to help. I really appreciated it.
