Interesting read, another great story is how Pepsi rose from being considered a second class soft drink due to the fall of the Iron curtain in the 80's... Sounds crazy but it was the turning point for Pepsi, they signed exclusive deals with the former U.S.S.R. and most of eastern Europe which skyrocketed there revenue, which they then sunk into millions of dollars advertising campaigns IE Michael Jackson's Pepsi campaign lol cool story for anyone interested !

Pepsi has always seemed to be a bit 'snake bitten' with their Celebrity endorsements. MJ with the pyrotechnical accident during filming, Madonna's "Like a Prayer" commercial that caused a big controversy with the Catholic church, they did a campaign with Brittney Spears a few years back - just as her 15 minutes of fame was expiring.
