In trying to find whats the best way to repair rust holes,  large area ?

Welcome to the site! I would say that metal is the only way. If your not an experienced with working with metal then I would have it done. I myself hire out my metal work as well. The rust area needs sand blasted and the bad areas cut out and replaced with new. That is the best option but in a lot of places that is not possible. Can you describe the area in question or post pictures. We all love to see pictures.

The  rust is on the bottom side, at the front corners

I just got a Vendo  V-90. the bad spots are on the  very bottom of the side, more on the front side corners, very thing else seems in good shape

Probably rusted near the corners of the condensation trays. Some of the guys here have become very good in sectioning metal repairs. Do you have some Pics of the damage?
