Came across this today and the seller wanted $75 with the cord being cutoff. He offered to get it to light up first for that price. The side in the picture is the best side. Wondering what it's worth working or not. Thanks in advance

Don't recall if you have been welcomed to SMC yet so welcome :-)
$40 non working.
I'd rather do my own light fix. It's 70's Wave design very common.

Thanks for the welcome and advice. I remember what happened when I got my obligatory chemistry set and think it best I stay away from electricity.

Even I can sort out a light up sign and I've burnt three houses down fiddling with the sparky stuff...

On a tip from Howdueyoudue we went to look at these.  He made the wise decision to pass and I couldnt pass up a bargain, now my garage is full of these.

Lights are straight forward. Many talented folks here can get you through that.
Worst that can happen is you a 120v shock, causes an interesting sting for a bit. Not deadly. Unless you have a Pacemaker.
Tried to get a proper Chemistry set for the nephew's Christmas present. Not possible, very sad.
