High for a nonrefrigerated chest cooler. Solid and all there, maybe half his asking price. If you really want it though, spend what your comfortable.

That cooler is more valuable the way it is than if it were restored.   Agree $400 or less.
No refrigeration, no coin operation, raised letters to be painted everywhere, large size and overabundance of similar coolers...........it's a loser from an investment point of view.

It is an oldie, 1934-1938, and good condition. Looks like it's missing the cap catcher.

Westinghouse Master model was an ice cooler. Didn't think they had compressor's on them. I have a restored Westinghouse Junior that I did. Again, it is an ice cooler. Nice solid cooler that I had media blasted, primed, professionally painted with a slight clear coat, and professionally hand painted the embossed lettering.
What's your guess where I am in the cost of this machine?

PS-it's for sale.

As stated $700 is way high. Slim chance to make $2 on a full restore. You will be upside down by quite a bit.
Always hard to tell from pics but looks like the original paint is in good condition. Doubt there is a mad rush to buy the machine so go take a look.

A good cleaning and get it running could be some profit there. I'd wait for it to reach the $200 range.

Good luck and keep us posted.
Thanks!

I got mine last March for $195. Missing cap catcher by rest is there. Hope that helps.

The Westinghouse Master cooler came with or without the refrigeration coil and compressor deck like most the others. Not a good machine to try to flip. They can get pricey very quickly. With a price tag of 700.00 there is not much room there. Don't get me wrong I love my Westy master but if I was to ever sell it I would probably loose money.  just my .02 cents

Thanks all. I went $400, he came down to $600 and I think was offended a little. His wife told him to get rid of it for $500. I just couldn't do it, though. He felt it was worth $700 minimum. It might be to somebody. Just not me.  I'm passing on this one. Glad to have all your help.

Maybe you should have shown him this.
