Are any of our members here a seller on Ebay that goes by: "sodaparts" from Tyler, Texas or possibly Pollock Pines, CA? (NOT our good friend "sodaworks")

Turns out I'm having an issue.

May I ask what the issue is?

I wasn't going to go into specifics, but oh well, here goes...

Well, luckily it wasn't for a machine or anything expensive. Were only talking about $13.50 (thank goodness), but it is just frustrating.

5 weeks ago I won the following eBay auction for a bottle opener bezel & coin return bezel.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....MEWN:IT

I sent a check back then and to this day, it still hasn't arrived.
I emailed him very politely asking him if he remembers receiving my check and shipping the bezels.

This is his ENTIRE email back:
"I mail ALWAYS within 48 hours of payment receipt."

So then I replied back very politely saying:
"Thanks, but since I haven't received it yet, I'm just trying to make sure that you got my check a long time ago.
Thanks so much, ~M"

He then replied with this as his entire email:
"I ship 200 items a week......do I remember your check..frankly no.....see if it's cleared your bank?"

I take that as being very rude and caring more about selling a lot and making money than customer service and making sure people get their stuff.

Unfortunately I didn't keep track of the check number.
I could write him a negative feedback, but that will only result in him doing the same for me and $13 isn't worth ruining my own 100% feedback.

It is just very maddening.

But please, please, please NOBODY take actions into your own hands, because who knows, maybe there was just some sort of mix up. I really can't afford to suffer any feedback retaliation from him.

I just inquired here because I thought if they were a member here, we me being a fellow member, they might give me a little more of the time of day.

Oh well, anyone else dealt with him?

Hmmmmm.... Never messed with them.... best thing to do is find the cashed check,
(to give them proof) tell them and if that doesn't help... Contact eBay have them send
your their (sodaparts) phone number and call them and try to talk it out If that doesn't
work contact eBay again and have them send a warning and have them block anytype
of neg feedback he could give you... then leave them neg feedback and count yourself lucky that there wasn't a couple zero's added to that final total.
Always check sellers feedback and contact them before auctions end to get a
feel of who they are and what they're like. eBay is FULL of Scammers and theives..

Good Luck...

Without mentioning any names, I will tell you that the person you are dealing with is honest, a good friend of mine, and  taught me almost everything I know about antique soda machines.
He can be breif but, you will get your bezels.

I,m going to tell you I'm in the same boat with someone totally different and in a different country
this is for a wall mount bottle opener and only $10.00 dollers (cashier check)  this will be week 4
and no responce back when I email him . I think I just got the short end of the rope.

Fair enough MD.
Like I said, I didn't want to trash him in public, just wanted to try another method of reaching out to him.

I am positive that I sent the check. But just now I went online and tried to track any cashed checks payments of $12.50 or $13.50 and none came up, so perhaps it got lost in the mail or he just never cashed it.

Mostly I just don't want a bad feedback from him and I eventually want to get the bezels. I am fine with giving him positive feedback if he just delivers the items.

I feel no malice against him, just wish he could have shown a bit more tact, concern or any interest at all.

I see that he currently has zero auctions running... let alone 200, so I hope he will have time to try to find my check.

I guess I could send another check, but then I would be set back $27.

Thanks for speaking up though MoonDawg, I appreciate it when friends stand up for each other. And since I have great regard for you and your character, I am totally fine with trusting your judgement.

Take care,
~M

By the looks of his feedback, he probably is not running any auction right because of a string of bad luck.  I can tell you from personal experience volume selling on Ebay is great but it always seems like you have great luck for awhile then it's one idiot-ripoff artist after another.  I've had to take breaks from it several times.

Ditto to moondawgs posting's I too have also had multiple purchases from this seller & he's also help me learn a great deal about soda machines.

I've ordered an Identicle set of bezels from him couple of months ago, a bit of a delay in confirmation of the receipt of my moneyorder & shipping, but they arrived safe & sound...
Hope this helps you belay your concerns, just send him a curtious  email "reminder"...trust me on this one...he's square & true.just a few to many "iron's in the fire" at times ..JohnieG  ':<img:'> (look at his feedback & you'll see one of my many Ebay handles "jgcgaj" in there a few times)
