I'm in for the April show. I messed up and missed the November show....totally spaced it. Worst thing is that it's only about a 3 1/2 hour drive for me! I would definitely purchase a shirt/mug or darn near anything else if it would help support this site. without this place, I don't know what I'd do....LOL. Living here in Indiana has presented me with all sorts of challenges when it comes to my new found hobby and this place has made things so much easier! '<img'>

Great idea but any of you guys who can get to Chicagoland this year please go.  I think it is conservative to say we'd be lucky to have out act together within a year.
The main show is at Pheasant run resort, so how cool would it be (and expensive)to stay there, (I had to lodge 20 miles away). Maybe someone could get us info on group discounts or a pizza parlor.
When I was there, Osh Cosh Ron then Jeff Walters had a truck rented to take people's purchases to wherever they lived. Don't know if anyone offers this service anymore. Most of the people in this site would feel better about attending this event if they were confident they could ship their find back home. Can some one here from Illinois help us get our machines to your local shipper?
The shirts are a great Idea. Go to the meet and look for the other guys wearing the SMC shirts   '<img'>
Last : Anybody that enjoys this site should visit Chicagoland at least once in their lifetime.

Well I live in Cincinnati but I will be there in my truck and if I should I would be glad to bring a trailer to drop stuff off at a terminal. I have access to a 18 foot open car trailer with solid floors. I am willing to bet we can get a bunch of machines on that thing. Even if we had to lay them down. Or I have a 7 foot utility trailer that will hold a few. But I will probably bring a few of my own to try and sell in the parking lot if I have to.

Is there only one show there a year? I have a plant outage at work for the month of April, so I unfortunately could not make this one.

OK here is the info on the show. I know that alot of you have said that you want to go but does anyone want to get a booth. I just got off of the phone with them and they are sending me a contract in the mail. For an 8x10 booth it is $295 for the entire weekend for an inside booth. The only outside selling is on friday and by buying an inside booth as long as you are set up by 5 on friday you are aloud to sell both inside and outside for the same price. Admission on friday is $50 per person and sat and sun are open admission. By reserving a booth you get admission for two people on friday and any others are $50 per head. Does this sound like something anyone would like to go in on. I know I wouldn't mind bringing a machine or two. They said that there is still rooms available at the phesant run hotel but I waited on hold for a long time and hung up but if anyone else wants to try the # is 1800-474-3272

Ok checked the web site, thanks Dr G.  They post this show for Friday (setup day) and Saturday and Sunday- tourist days.
Well if it's it's still the same as last time I went, there is an earlier event that may be all we care to attend. About 10 miles away at Kane County fairgrounds they have a swap meet. This was held from the Wednesday through Friday preceeding the big event.
Lots of junkin' at the "Pig barns". Unrestored stuff usually changes hands here, then most of these dealers move on to display more expensive stuff on the weekend.
There jukeboxes etc are indoors, but I like the parking lot best. Uhaul trucks back in to their space, and a crowd of us swarming when he opens his rear door.
Someone told me this event wasn't as big anymore since ebay evolved.  Chuck (Vendoz), or anyone else care to comment?
