I picked this up today from craigslist.  Guy said he brought it down from Michigan with him and just wanted it gone.  He couldn't get it to work and had no idea what it was going to take to get it working.

He couldn't get it to select records.  I got it home and cleaned some contacts and got it semi working.  It won't play all the time.

Searching around, it seems to be a popular model.  What's the going price for one in unrestored condition?

Thye R is a pretty box. It uses a pin bank system to make slections.  Alot of times its just the pins are sticky. You can romove the back door then ther access cover above it to get the the pinbank. With cedits on the machine you can manually slide one or more  of the pins to see if it starts the mech and picks up a record. Probably should check the amp and power supply to see if they have been recaped  yet.
I have been looking for a Project R or V200 so if you decide to sell let me know.

Not being a jukebox person, I wasn't sure of what to do.  Figured for that kind of money it was an ok deal and pulled the plug.  Glad to see I did OK.

Not sure what my plans are for it yet.  I like it, just don't know if I need any more restoration projects now.  I have to many and not enough time.  If I decide to sell it I'll post it here first.

The R wasn't stereo yet, but i believe it was the first juke to have 5 speakers.

Nice find at a great price!, It's a very popular model from what I've seen, the guy mustn't have heard of the Game-room seller  here in Michigan called "Games people Play, their Juke tech, Debby is a wiz at them & they even have a full blown Wurlitzer test bench & factory diagnostic bench. I see these models in there shop every time I stop by to say hello.
