Hello all.

I have always wanted a pop machine. I finally came across one recently for 40 bucks. LCB (ILL) 64 8. I am assuming this is Lacrosse Bottling August 1964. Anyway I would like some more basic info if anyone has any. It cools to 40degrees. Not ice cold but not warm. Overall I would rate it in verygood shape.

I am really fascinated with this thing. You guys have a great site here and I really will appreciate anybodys input.

Thanks Hank

Welcome to SMC, Hank! Great to have you around. Yeah, this is a great site full of really awesome people that are always ready to help out.

That's a great looking Lacrosse and at $40 I'd say it's a GREAT deal! 40 degrees isn't that bad. Have you tried adjusting the temp. contorl at all? Probably 1/4 or at the most 1/2 turn should lower your temp. to around 32-35 degrees.

Not exactly sure of the model number but it looks like it's probably has a capacity of 64 bottles/cans.

Welcome

$40 bucks is a deal. Watch out after you get the first machine others are soon to fall in your lap.

Post some pictures of inside.

Hank, nice looking machine... At $40 bucks it would be a steal.  Let's see some more pics of the inside to see how complete it is.  The La Crosse machines are neat as they open to the right which is different from most (maybe all) other makers.  Must've had a left handed designer.

Btw - I'm pretty sure that the 64 indicates the max number of bottles it could vend (probably 8 bottles per rack).  The would refer to the typical bottle size - 8 oz.  So your machine was designed for 64 8 oz bottles.

The nice thing about it is that it adjusts to accept 12 ounce Bud Light bottles!

Nice score! & welcome to the site, your LaCrosse is a model 64 glass bottle vendor, the "8" refers to the no. of flavor/shelves it has. so 8/bottles per/shelf  = 64..I have the identical machine out in the "Soda-Barn" myself... '<img'>
