has anyone ever used eastwoods polyester primer? Do you know if it is direct to metal? and do you have to primer it once it is on or can you just place color on top of it and go from there??

I have probably read to much about these, they all seem perfect and I have confused myself.  Is there any specific one that yall like??

thanks,
Kevin

Generally a poly primer is just a sprayable bondo (body filler ) it's for leveling large areas . I would prime and paint after using it  .

It is a good product , the only time I tried it worked well to fill small holes and scratches but I only used a couple of thin coats.

I mainly use it on fiberglass areas . You will have to check the product your using to know if its direct to metal ... There all different . I use sikkens but it's high dollar compared to most . But none are really that expensive .

Thank you for your replies. It is much appreciated. I apologize to anyone I might have offended by my comments. I'm just a newbie that has to ask dumb questions in order to start asking the the smarter questions.

Again the information is much appreciated.

Are you sure you want a poly primer or are you wanting an epoxy primer ?
