ok guys,glasco 50 cooler.anyone know what the cut in/cut out is? its not mounted to the evaporater so im thinking a cold controll for a refrigerator may work..any ideas?just dont want to short cycle or get a icing issue..Thanks in advance!since i dont want to post whore either what kind of insulation do you guys reccomend?i took out some stuff that looks like r-12?with a fiberous type on the bottom of...cooling area?

typical range ( for soda not "adult" beverages) would be cut out @ 34-36...cut in at 45 (degrees/F) the insulation in the side-walls is fiberglass batt / unfaced type, the bottom was a fiberboard type, but it may be replaced with a closed-cell blue or pink type foam board. avoid white Styrofoam, it degrades over time & will shrink away from the wall ( floor) area of the liner/tank & cause sweating and then rusting...

also note, that with any convection cooled type of chest cooler like a Glasco or an Ideal, you normally may get a thin bit of Ice on the walls over time due to the air temp is maintained at the desired range of about 34-36 degrees. but the tanks wall temp will be closer to 28 degrees.. the Glasco 50 model is a little better at keeping it to a minimum due to the fact that it has a circulation fan in side to move the air about.
