Who has a neat trick for removing fossilized, hard scotch tape from the painted front of the machine. So far I am having slow success with goof off, my finger nail and elbow grease. It works, but is arduously slow. Any tips would be appreciated. Title: Re: Removing antique scotch tape Post by: Ben on February 08, 2015, 03:39:01 pm I used a heat gun on low and a plastic spatula to remove quite a bit of reinforced strapping tape on a machine. Then used goof off on the residue.

Your hilarious. Though I did catch an antique carburator on fire once while holding it. I discovered a very effective mans of clearing up old gas deposits. George |
