Racer, you have all the dispenser luck.

And I saw the Galaxie on eBay today. I've always wanted one, but I'm sure it will get out of my budget limit really quickly. '<img'>

Hey Kito,
Yeah I saw the Galaxie too and yes they do end up with some high bids. I was luck when I got mine as it was on an Ice Machine and the seller wouldn’t separate them. He was only 45 mins from my house and no one else on eBay wanted to pay for shipping so… I will say that the one on now is nicer than most that pop up so I would keep and eye on it.

Steve,
Have you done anything with the Scottsman Ice maker yet?  I am glad the machine and Galaxie dispenser went to a good home...was moving out of the country at that time and had to move it....  I've gotten back into collecting but mostly Vendo 63s as of late.
Working out of Sebastopol these days...are you stillin SR?hope all is well.

Hey AC,
Good to hear from you, I am glad you put two and two together. I am still in Santa Rosa and have not done anything with the Ice Maker other them move it in to storage.  So working out in Sebastopol, I was planning on going out there on Saturday to hit the Antique stores. Hey what happened to all of your machines before you moved? 56’s weren’t they?

Boy, all this talk of the Bay Area has me feelin' a wee bit homesick!! I still have two uncles that live in Sebasotpol. I gotta' make a trip out that way this year, it's been darn near 10 years since I've been back. Go Niners! '<img'>

Nice,
Still have a house in Ft. Bragg. CA. so head up your way every now and again (from San Jose). What about if we sort out a central met point for all interested parties and have a West Coast SMC event? All are welcome here in SJ.

Creighton,
Sounds good to me. My job takes me all over the Bay area so I can even do a mid week lunch. Are there any shows or swap meets around that would be even better?

One meeting point could be the Alameda Swap Meet over on the old naval base...it's the first Sunday of every month..over 800 vendors..usually a good showing of Coca Cola stuff...I've picked up a few nice coke fishtail signs and a few Westinghouse coolers...good place to make contacts as well.

As for the 56s, they all went away.  I do have the VMC 44 still and picked up a nice two tone Cavalier 72 last year...but I do miss those 56s...there are still some good machines floating around the Bay Area..that electric 81D on eBay a few weeks back came out of Santa Rosa and a repainted Cav 72 came out of San Rafael...I just need to get to these things before they hit eBay...I am considering placing ads in local papers..Josh seems to be picking up a machine every week it seems through this way.

76 was(is) a Lemon-lime soda(think 7 UP).  Still bottle by a couple of bottlers in Wisconsin I think.

Yes 76 is still bottled in Wisconsin. Twig bottling in Shawano bottles it in 10oz returnable glass and New London Kist bottling produces bag in the box syrup. And yes it is a Lemon Lime soda.
