Greetings,
Is the gear that is attached to the vend motor, connected by a shear pin,or set screws?
It is ALWAYS something!

It is held in by a roll pin which are a bitch to get out !! Now if you need a motor let me know I have a few of them.

Thanks for the FAST reply! How do I remove the motor? Just the two screws that the Cav. manual mentions? This is a resale machine, and I only invest so much frustration!!! darn

The 2 screws hold it in place and then it slides out. Leave the gear on it. Cut the wires and replace with new one. Do you know if its bad? Wire it straight up the wires you cut. If it works you need to look elsewhere for the issue. If the sold out flap is out it will not turn. If there is no change in changer it will not work either. But if you need motor PM and we can see if you want it.

The machine vended 3 times, and then I noticed the axle shaft turning, and the gear not. It is the pins. How much for a motor w/gear?

Does the pin go all the way through the shaft?
It was easier to pull the whole lower end vend assembly.
Will a drift pin punch work to drive the left over pin out?
Where can I get a replacement pin?

It's better to use a piece of steel rod or a smaller diameter pin-stock & a pair of Vise-grips to "press" the broken original pin put, pounding on the shaft can damage the motor internally & Yes, the pin went through the shaft & stuck out about 1/8 of an inch on either side to engage the gears mating "slot".   The pins can be had at almost any hardware store, they are called "roll pins" or split pins, some are black steel, others are zinc-plated.
