CSS 12-96J machine, my question is about taking the door glass apart, is it difficult?  There appears to be atleast 2 panes of glass, very dirty between the 2, that's why I want to disassemble (cleaning).  Can anyone tell me why there is a hole in the top of the glass and then another hole in the bottom of the glass on the insided of the door? It's meant to be there (I think), they are perfect holes, just wondiering why?  I'm sure that's how the dirt got in between the panes in the first place.

Thank you,

The Holes are there to prevent fogging and condensation on the glass from the cold inside and the weather on the outside... The Bottle door will come apart fairly easy... just look for the screws on the backside... the hardest part is the hinges where it fastens to the machine body...

The Cavalier glass doors are not that difficult to take apart.  Yes, the inside piece is supposed to have holes in it.  They are there to prevent condensation from forming (so it doesn't look like some house windows in the winter!).

Thanks for responses gentlemen.  Original seal is white, if I replace do you think I'll be able to find another white seal or will I have to go with black.

Thanks again,

are you reffeing to the door seal or the part in side the glass that holds the glass apart? that is usually a off white/grey colored and you shouldbe able to get another similiar to that.

door seals for the main door are all Black that I've ever seen/used.

The door closes and rests against this seal, that is the one I'm referring to.  Sorry for the mislead.

We refer to it as the bottle door gasket.
