Down in NC for a few weeks, this popped up on Craigslist today...didn't Jeff Wolf have one that he sold for $50+K at some point?  They could have at least taken some photos of it for the price!

I would want to see a lot of photos--including photos of each step of the restoration.  This could be another reproduction like the one that was listed in Columbus a little while back.  Hard to tell without a lot more pictures.

 Please post photos!

Resto Rick built one out of a three door--not exactly correct.  There have been other posts about people who have done them in the past.  The one that was listed on the Columbus, OH CL and Ebay a while back turned out to be a fantasy machine.  It looked pretty good but there were a number of SMC members who pointed out some inconsistencies.  I believe that one still sold on EBay for a pretty good price but nowhere near $50K.

Here is that thread:

Buyer beware when you are talking about 5 figure machines! wow

Here's the thread I was looking at that made me wonder about this one...I'm under an hour from where I thought Jeff's place was in NC, so maybe this was the guy that bought it a couple of years back?  Curtis, did you restore this one?

I went to see this cooler yesterday and here is the story.  He bought this in the 90's from California, had it shipped here and then Alan Huffman in Granite Falls, NC restored it.  He said that he had heard that it is was only 1 of 2 that still had the original serial numbers on it to identify it correctly.  So I believe this to be the real deal if that helps anyone, especially if Alan restored it.  If you want to see more pics of his man cave at his place of business visit:
www.themosergroupinc.com/.  He had a great set-up and I really enjoyed the visit.

Thanks for the update on the cooler, nice to hear its the real deal.  That place is great, I'm going to have to check it out next time I am down in Charlotte.
