Well i bought another machine today. when I went to get it I was thinking it was an Ideal 55 so I was slightly depressed when I saw what it was, but for only $25 for a working machine you cant be too upset. I already have it stripped and should have it ready for primer tomorrow. It is missing the rack but it will make a nice fridge.

Hey ! I got those shelve and they were in great shape.

Thanks again

Well I thought that I was going to sell everything off but you know that it will never happen. I sold two machines to someone in the panhandle which is on my way home and I offered to bring them to him. So I figured that if I am going to have to rent a trailer I might as well rent a huge trailer. And I bought a new Dodge Ram last year and it has been begging me to pull something with it. Yeah I am going to pain the cooler red with a white top and put the Galsco fishtail on the front.

I have a coin mech and rack that may work for this. What I have is for
a Corneilius? (Sorry I know that's spelt wrong) But anyway
it's from a machine that looks just like that the rack is brown
and so is the mech which works. I think it's set for .50

Let me know if you're interested....

Ill take it. Please find out what shipping will be to 32114. Email me at jdloman2000@yahoo.com. What kind of shape is it in? Do you know if it is complete? Please measure it for me. The inside of my machine is approx 14 3/4 wide, 28 3/4 long.

It's in pretty good shape.... I'll email you a pictures tonight
of both pieces and measure them.......
The rack has some type of plastic (brown) coating that's coming off. I guess it was a different method than painting then. But I guess you could strip it then paint it. You look at the images tonight and see for yourself.

Later.....

Well since this machine isn't worth much and I am just going to use it i decided to spray bomb it. I can feel everyone frowning at me. It had almost no rust and was rather straight so it needed almost no body work. The paint turned out really well. The top was in bad shape so I pulled off the top skin and an having a new one made. It should be done tomorrow. The top is only a piece of foam with sheet metal glued to it. So far it looks really good. I am really suprised to see how the nice the paint looks for spray paint.

Well I got the machine mostly back together and the darn thing doesn't cool now. It worked great when I got it home. when you plug it in it only slightly gets colder than room temp it the captube and the evaporator. When you shut it down you can quietly hear a hissing sound. I don't know what happened. I did lay it down to do some painting but I was carefull and it only laid down for a few hours and I did wait a day before plugging it in. Now just trying to figure out how to get the darn thing out.

Did you say a HISSING sound??  The compressor is doing it's job, pumping pressure into the system. Shut it down and the compressed liquid / gas escapes.
You have punctured a line or fractured a fitting.  The hissing sound will lead you to the problem spot. Then have it welded and re-charged.

Well it hisses and then stops for a second then hisses again and it continues this over and over. John G has suggested possibly bad valves in the compressor. When I get back from vacation I am going to take it in and have it looked at. It is a shame to spend so much on something worth so little but I have already put so much time into it I feel I have to get it done.

Well I still have work left to do on it but it is coming along quite well. Besides the fact that it doesn't cool it looks great. I had the front decal custom cut for me and I had it done slightly too small. What do you all think. Should I ad something to the front? What should I add?

Well, I think the top look lid looks plain to me. I can't decide on the bottle cap return either. Perhaps some words that say cap return or something. I was honestly trying to picture that back with a wood grain top and bottle cap cather. If it was me, I would have painted the top red too. But I know you got the red/white thing going on for style though.

I agree on the plain top. Since the picture I have pin striped the top in red and I have a red Drink Coca cola vinyl decal on order. I thought about doing the red top but I thought it might look plain. Anyways I covered the top in Vinyl so that it would be more durable and matching colors would be hard. I think once the top has the decals it will look fine. What about the front?

Josh,

I think it looks good!
The front logo is just a tad to small but it works...
How about adding a couple of "bottle in hand" decals for each end... '<img'>

I like that. Good idea. I ordered white dring Coca Cola decals for the side but I think That might be too much Drink Coca Cola on it.

I wouldn't go over board on decals but that's just me.
It turned out really nice.
Maybe repeat the 3 starburst from the top sign to the cap catcher.....
