Very nice Westinghouse Jr. that is all original and actually cools! I couldn't believe it when I plugged it in..

But the 1/2 Jr is what has me curious. Appears to be cut in half but by design? It has subtle differences that a regular Jr.

Looks familiar, you get that in allentown PA? Thought I had hit the jackpot until I realized it wasn't a real half junior.  darn Owner told me its just a junior cut up that he bought for the lid. Awesome that the refrigeration still works!

During the war years, the government shipped thousands of cases of Cokes to the troops overseas in order to lift morale.
I heard that to chill those bottles, hundreds of juniors were cut in half so they could be conveniently stacked for transport.
When the troops returned......most of these ice coolers came back with them.

Glad to see you scored a nice original electric version though!  happydrinkers

From some of the pictures I've seen the embossed coca cola logo on the front should be smaller.

The little half juniors are more narrow don't use the same size lid and have handles on the sides that are inset.
There are a few on here that own them. I think Rod had one at one time maybe he can chime in and post a picture.

It's not a true "1/2 jr.   The cap catcher is the clue, plus the roughed edge of the "bottom"  shows the wavey collapsed bottom from the cutting, nope not real, just a hack job.  Unless the underside tells a different story ( full bottom panel)
