Just a quick question...
does an unrestored v44 and a vmc 27A uise alot of power?
Will it run up the electric bill if run 24/7?
Since these aren't designed to be energy efficient like today's
coolers/machines, I was just wondering about the effect on the
monthly biil.
Thanks
Terry

I am guessing you would see a bit of a jump in your electric bill. Keep track without running them for a month and then with and you will have a rough idea.

Take the electrical current rating on the ID tag & you can figure out the Kilowatt hours the machine will use in a year ( remember that it will run on average 60/40 duty cycle off time vs on time in the best case scenario) it will run less when it is full of product, and also remember that these machines are in many cases are 40+ years old, rewire it & keep it grounded for safety.   You can also put it on an appliance rated timer & have it "on" only when you are home, just let it turn on about an hour before your guests or yourself arrive..
