I am currently putting my machine back together and have a question. When I operate the bottle rack mechanism by hand should it rewind itself? If so can someone explain how to adjust this? My rack is a newer replacement and I am including pics. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry...I can't vouch for the reproduction - an original rack is spring loaded and resets after each vend.

No, the repro ones do not... there is a spring on mine on the crank that returns it and the rack to the center position.. here's my V44 restoration..

Thanks Chris, I appreciate the answer.

Nice restoration on the Vendo 44, looks great. I will have to post some pictures soon of mine. All I have left is to put the stickers on. By the way did you find the main door was much harder to close after putting on the new main gasket? I am thinking it will just take some time for it to break in?

Thanks Bergy... yes the main door was a little harder to close, I adjusted the door handle which helped a little, but it does close easier now a year or so later... post some pics of your restoration when you get a chance!
