My technique was all leverage and gravity and a low trailer. I drove there with no help and the idea I would pay some locals to help me load it but to my surprise I didn't need to. I was amazed I was able to even move it.

I had a chance to buy a 47B once. A widow was selling it. She wanted $500 for it. The compressor lines were cut where it entered the cabinet and it had been removed and tossed. It was locked and she wouldn't let me drill out the lock to see if it was complete inside. It did have nice original paint. I've often thought I should have grabbed it for a display piece, but oh well!
I didn't come away empty handed. I bought a Breyer's Ice Cream light-up sign from her for $50.

I just picked this massive thing up today. Mills 47N. It amazes me what I can do by myself when I'm determined to take something home. Not sure how I loaded and unloaded this thing. Guy selling it had a bad back so not much help. Even with lack of man power I got it back safe.  happydrinkers

Seems like they all do when it comes to loading it up... laugh

That old Choice Vend of mine tipped the scale at 527 lbs-minus the relay box, coin mech, and a few odd pieces. Weight wise it would give the 47B a real run for its money.
