After my post regarding my 110, alot has happened.
I received lots pf pm's and emails of support, received valuable information, was introduced to whom to speak with at the Granite Falls police department and even filed with NC Attorney General's office.

And, the ads were removed from this site.

Then something happened.

I began getting returned calls
I received pics of my machine as it is being restored ( and it looks good)
Was given a tracking number that works
And today, I am happy to say, I received a call from trucking company that my 110 would be delivered tomorrow.

And yes, the shipment weighs 450 lbs so either receiving my machine or a whole bunch of rocks

Been a long time but quite excited to be reunited with my old machine.

So thanks to everyone for the positive comments , info and  support.

It is because of you that my machine is returning home.
Tha t is the power of thsi site

So a 110 at around 363lbs, give or take 40lbs of packing material, sounds like there should be a 50lb box of chocolates in there!

Good luck with getting it, I hope they at least did a nice restoration after all the trouble you have been put through.

Isn't this the guy that advertises that your restored machine comes fully stocked with glass bottle soda?   Maybe that accounts for the extra weight?

Fingers crossed for you!

Glad to hear that things worked out for you.  Too bad it took police and court intervention to get him to move on these things.

This is the second resolution we have seen this month. There is one more member that we know of, with an outstanding issue and when his machine has been returned,I think this problem will have been solved. Mr. Huffman will not take on any more work than he can return.

In addition to the law enforcement, peer pressure from this group has probably echoed throughout his shop.
It must be obvious that even after these court cases go away, SMC will still be watching out for our fellow collectors.

You are absolutely correct.
I do believe that the responses from the site as well as members is what led to my resolution.
You can threaten lawsuits, attorneys, etc but bottom line is that it can cost more to litigate than machie is worth.
It was the removal of ads and peer pressure that rescued my 110
Thanks again to all

Were all the threads taken down?

I don't think so...
I did a search for Huffman and came up with two pages of threads.

There was never a question about his work, he always did a great job, more like go's an extra mile on chrome and other things but he just has a hard time saying no and that would get him into trouble with getting everything done on time. Machine looks good!

Congrats on getting it back!!  AND DONE to boot!

Machine looks nicely done.  Just an observation though with the ID tag placement;  On the 110's are the tags not originally placed on the other side of the machine, opposite to where the 81's are? (So when facing the machine, a 110 tag would be on the right side).
Again, just an observation and me being anal about things lol.....

It is on my two 110's and on my 6CV, but 99.9% of the public wouldn't know or care. Ed, I am anal like you and it would drive me nuts every time I looked at it. In this case, I could overlook it and just be happy I got my machine back!

Case in point: The restorer (who shall go nameless) that restored my Vendo Junior many years ago put the tub in backwards and the drain plug is over the compressor assembly. I have to unscrew the line cover, unscrew the grill and cover the electrical up when I go to drain it. I should only have to pull the right side grill open (no screws involved) and drain it on the ground! One of these days, I need to break it down and fix it because it bugs me so much!

lol... that's like me... I bought a restored Vendo 80 at a price and workmanship that I could not pass, and the lettering is done with the vinyl decal rather than hand painted, and it gives me nightmares some nights lol.
It looks great, and Im not putting that type of restoration down,..... but I don't like it.

If it was an 81, then it would be correct! lol

I have another restored flaw that bugs me, but to fix it would cost too much - so I deal with it.
On my DP WB-60, the painters didn't allow for door sag. They taped off the area to be painted white at the top of the machine, but the door was sagging 1/8". It looked straight to paint, but when the machine got assembled....there is a 1/8" variance in the white where it meets on the side opposite the hinge.
It is not that noticeable, BUT I know it is there and it bugs me.
