Anyone ever seen this model in a Faygo machine?  Pretty cool.

Yes, I have and I'm interested in it.  I've been in contact with the seller.  He wanted $750, I offerred $250, he countered with $350.  Waiting on a response from him.

Good luck.  $350 sounds like a fair price to me.  Hope you get it.  Neat machine.

Yeah, $350 sounds like a pretty fair price to me as well, however I like $250 a hundred times better  biggrin.  He said the coin mech had been snapped out, then back in, and he didn't verify yet (to me) that it works works and vends properly.  He's owned it since 82' and got it from a Farmington, Michigan Dealership that closed back then.  We'll see what happens...

Well...it's a done deal.  He sent me some more inside pics and we agreed on a sale price of $300.  Seems like a good deal.  I'm pretty excited, and I'm going to pick it up the 300 pound behemoth tomorrow morning.  I guess that makes it a dollar a pound (plus chiropractic costs). He says it gets ice cold, and is 100% original.  I'll post some pics this weekend once I learn how to resize photos for posting (I'll read up on the process from previous posts).

Thanks for everyone's encouragement about this machine. Always liked them, and now I'll have one!  Cha-Ching!

I have had 4 of the same transitional 56's but not in Faygo and two V81 transitional and one was faygo but painted white and green. They are nice machines. I dont know the weight but I highly doubt it is 300 lbs. I can load and unload a V56 from my truck on my own if it is laying on its back and I have had a broken back and a crushed right hip ( had it replaced after the accident) so I am not the strongest person anymore and its not that hard to pick up.

I just picked in up near Birch Run, Michigan from a nice guy who lived on a farm.  Bought some super fresh corn and veggies from his neighbor while there. Machine Tag is a Vendorlator VF-81R-SA. I'm very happy with it!  Not technically a barn find (although it was in a barn when I picked it up), it was in his Dad's basement in Lapeer, Michigan for the last 30 years.  Gets Ice cold, fan spins on...I need to go thru it and see if it vends, check out the coin mech, etc.  Either way, I was buying it, no matter if there are any issues or not. Faygo decals are a little scratched up in a spot or two, and ould use replacing (I hear JohnieG has a line on some, so I'll be contacting him).  Overall, very straight...however the coin box is slightly bent (along with the stainless trim on the door) from where someone pried into at one time in a 1 inch area.  Barely noticeable. No key on coin door (Anyone have a key for a RT-471 or KT-471?...hard to read). Otherwise time to drill out the lock.  Definitely fixable. Needs a light bulb/plastic cover plate for the bottle door (if anyone has one for sale, LMK).  I'll post pics tomorrow after I unload it and clean it up a bit.  I'll do some before and after.  Thanks everyone!
