Picked up this week. A shout out to my buddy James for the lead and Glen for picking it up for me. James found it on CL and forward me the link. When I first saw it on my phone I wasn't too excited about it. I then looked at the ad on my PC and with a bigger photo it looked pretty cool. I saw the theater light but wasn't sure if the theater was made with the gum wheel, still don't know actually. With it already being restored and was offered at a fair price I picked it up. Now very glad I did, love the machine.

Glen took it to his shop where we took off the light bar and it took a while for us to figure it wasn't a true theater, although the light bar is because it is identical to my 8 pull theater. They cut the round holes perfect as original but the edges where just a little rough cut where it couldn't be a factory theater although close. Either way machine looks awesome as I spent a couple of nights polishing it up as it was sitting in the previous owners shop for years. The black trim and base have a couple of scrapes that I need to touch up but the machine is very clean and vends perfect, even came with a coin catcher full of dimes  biggrin

That machine was in storage for a long time, I can't believe how well it cleaned up
since I last saw it!  happydrinkers
Somewhere, some poor old woodgrained theater model got scrapped to give new life to this gumwheel.
Interesting to note: those round circles were cut into the machine after it was painted.
It was done very accurately with no damage to the paint, even though it wouldn't have mattered.

I couldn't tell what that was in the picture so when I asked seller on the phone he said they were penny slots. Haha.

Thanks everyone. I made the mistake of putting it in my bedroom just to see how it "looked", I kinda like it there. Makes a great night light.
