I just removed the refrigeration unit and the wiring was so brittle that in broke off making impossible to tell where everything went.  Some of it was obvious like the power coming in but the capacitor, compressor, thermostat, evaporator fan, and the condensing fan were all like glass.  I ended up with stubs at the compressor connections but I don't want to ruin it by just hooking up wires where I think  they may go.  And it may not even work, I don't know that's what I'm trying to find out.  Anyone know the connections for the above?

Here are a few links that should get started.  While the unit is out good time to replace fan motors, and blades.

Thanks a lot.  Here are some pictures that I should have posted to begin with.

The diagram shows only 1 wire to each of the 3 terminals directly on the compressor.
Your picture shows 2 wires connected to the terminal on the far right.

Glen, I think that picture is of an attempt to rewire.

Right after I posted, a customer brought in this VMC 33.
System runs as is but fails to restart so all will be changed to a modern 3 in 1 relay.

The pictures I posted were in fact an attempt to rewire.  I was afraid to go any further without help and the diagram is perfect.  I will attempt to get it going in the next couple of days.

The pictures scan from the manual are great but i got lost on tying in the evaporator motor on the TS with the Tstat.  The evap motor runs all the time so it should be connected directly with the hot and neutral coming in.  The hot should also go to the tstat and then back to the relay to pick up the compressor.  The condenser motor should only run when the compressor is running so it should be tied to the neutral and then to the run connector on the side of the compressor.  I don't see any labels on the compressor so I'm guessing that the neutral comes in to the overload and has a strip to the neutral side of the compressor.  The other two connections should be the start winding which the cap should be connected and and the run winding.  The relay should pick up causing the cap to go to the start winding and then the run winding should kick in and drop out the start winding, I think this is right.  Someone who is a little more savvy than me could check what I've written and see if you can follow it.  I've got two wires coming back from the TS and don't know where to put them.  One is the hot from the Tstat and the other is where to pick up the hot going to the evap motor and the tstat.
Too many of the wires were completely broken into to try to trace them back to where they belonged.  Also the insulation had all fallen off so there were no wire colors.
