First, a sincere thanks to everyone here for all the help.  I'm sure I'll forget a few but I want to thank everyone.  I got all my parts & decals from Soda Jerk Works & Funtronics.  I bought some spare parts off a few members (tkaz & MoonDawg). I stole collecture's DP theme on a square top.  JohnieG for coin mech repair and compressor restoration advice. Lastly, thanks to all that helped in my numerous threads. I am truly thankful for all the input.  This was my first machine, so I had no clue what I was doing.

I still have a few little things I need to get done (Cavalier decal, ID plate, coin mech in, etc.).  But, I have the major work done.  I'm crossing my fingers that the compressor works well (I fired it up for a few days before I disassembled it and everything seemed to work well).  It's getting cold, so I'll see how it's doing tomorrow.

A little background on the machine.  My sister opened up a restaurant last year and they serve a bunch of bottled drinks.  So, I wanted to surprise her with a machine for the restaurant.  Here in the TX panhandle machines are scarce (or way overpriced), but I finally found this machine for $75.  I originally planned to just find a decent machine and clean it up, but I couldn't find a decent priced one in good shape, so I had to restore this.  I know it's a bigger one, but they have about a dozen bottled drinks, so this one will work out perfectly.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I decided to personalize it and it's not collectable.  I did all the work myself except the soda blasting, body paint, and sign.  I took the coke light-up sign out and had a new one made with her restaurant logo.  Below are some before and after pics.  I'll surprise her with it in a few weeks.

Tito...I just bought an 85 off Pat for parts.

Let me know if you need anything.  For sure you'll need the outermost right vertical shelf neer the loading door.  I didn't have it on the Canada Dry parts machine I sold you, but Pat's machine has it.  It's bascially a galvanized piece of metal with a square cut out of to surround the compressor, and is rounded near the top.

Good luck...Can't wait to see it!

Just goes to show how you can take an ugly old machine and make it into something great. You did a super great job on this. Your sister will love it. If she doesn't you can call me and I'll come get it. Can't wait to see how your next one turns out. Keep up the great work.  happydrinkers

Really, really nice.  Best kind of present, unique and personalized.  I am sure it will be a huge hit.
