Title: Pepsi Progress Cooler
Post by: tkaz on May 21, 2012, 03:12:05 pm
I picked up a Pepsi Progress cooler today on the local Craigslist...I couldn't resist for $90.  Basically rust free, it sat as a display item in a restaurant for a long time.  A few dents and scratches here and there, but I think it'll make a nice display piece.  What's a good price for these?  I didn't realize the size of them, thought they were a little smaller.

I have seen some stands for these online...is someone reproducing them or are the for sale anywhere?

Tkaz,
They made these in double dot also. As far as the stands, the real ones are extremely rare.

Nice Score, I like the look of the Pepsi coolers, there blue helps mix it up in a sea of red ones.

Nice find Tom.  I was surprized how big these are

Not to hijack Tom's thread, but I recently saw a double dot Pepsi at a flea market.  It has a dented cover & a small dent on one side.   It had the interior tray and was rust free.

Are the double dots more valuable than the single?  Is $125 a good price?

You don't see alot of the double dot coolers. If it is rust free and only minor dents I would think 100 to 125 would be a fair price.  The dent in the lid can usually be popped out pretty easy.   Is it blue or gray?  Gray is pretty hard to find..

You did good on the price. I have one that is not as nice and paid $50,00 for it about five years ago, and yes they are big.

Yeah, they're big & heavy when loaded with Ice & sodas/beers, but nothing will impress the ladies when you one-arm this baby up onto to the picnic table!  & man do they look cool!  nice find & great score on the price too!
