Are these the same size as the CSS/USS signs?  Just a shot in the dark

You're a pretty handy guy Johnie, I know you can make one.

Yes, please let us know if you find a source for these.  The CS-64 signs are about 1 inch too short in height.  I have been looking for a lighted or non-lighted sign for 3 years.

My guy just wants to buy the whole light up assembly, he has a steel sign to throw into the deal too.

 :darn: :darn:

I would buy that steel sign from him outright if he would sell it.  Mine is all rusted out.  I was going to try to re-create it with vinyl decals but I'd rather have an original.

I can ask if he'd part with it separately for you ,

he also needs a replacement vending motor, his is only working intermittently,  he'd like to get the entire lower vending rack as a unit as it would be easier for him to reinstall, I've only repaired his compressor & coinmech on his machine & he's wanting to tackle the other issues himself to keep the cost down ( I'm cheap labor, but not free  :tounge:, also the reason I'm not making a sign for him. )  he wants to put it to work vending in his vintage style barber shop he's setting up, along with some vintage Koken barber chairs & such. ( yes, he's a real barber)

so let me know via PM if you have either the light-up marquee or the vending motor/lower rack assembly, he will exchange his lower rack with the motor assy.  for the replacement & cover shipment both ways of course.

You can get a vend motor out of a cavalier c148.

Yeah, I know,  but theres even a slimmer chance of finding one of those around loose, again Im just posting for what he needs,  he's not able to fabricate anything & he's not paying me for any futher repairs, just trying to source replacement parts.  But again  Thanks for the input.

Take the vend motor to an armature shop.  I took mine to a guy here in town that works on electric motors, he was able to fix my completely non working vend motor.  Cost was about $65 if I recall.

Making a sign with the name of the barber shop may very well be cheaper than an original.

he'll still need the guts & frame, he's incapable of fabricating anything himself, and local frame shops are apparently being of no help to him, so I directed him to a local mirror/shower-glass door shop.

Bump... :tounge:... still looking for a sign assembly.  he finally had the motor reworked as nobody seemed to have a source for a replacement or a used unit.

So yeah, still in need of a sign. Pm me if you have one, thanks
